The Slug and Hare Bicycle Company provides fully qualified guided mountain
biking, mountain and tandem bike hire, mini bus support and shuttle service,
modern up to date GPS based routes, coast to coast weekends, international
cycle holidays, charity cycle events and guided walking, kayaking and
canoeing adventures.
Discovering the Lake District for the first time or a seasoned veteran, exploring this spectacular area is a must by bike; with quiet back roads, rolling hills, traditional villages and little traffic. We feel that to connect with an area its culture and landscape its best done by bike. Our days guided cycling tours are aimed for new cyclist to relax, recreational cyclists to discover, and experienced cyclists to let the adrenaline take control, all within the quietest part of the National Park and surrounding area. All routes have been developed using the latest GPS technology allowing us to provide very high quality maps, so if you wish to ride more quickly than the group then you can blaze ahead. For most riders, though, the enjoyment comes from joining a group of, like-minded people who want to explore this beautiful corner of our green and pleasant land with the security and experience of our expert local guide.
